FRAGMENTO
La influenza es una infección altamente contagiosa de origen viral considerada una de las causas más importantes de infecciones de las vías respiratorias. Este padecimiento se asocia a gran morbilidad y mortalidad anualmente. Sin embargo, esta enfermedad, que se repite año con año, afecta principalmente a poblaciones vulnerables durante los meses de mayor actividad, en el invierno, y en ocasiones se extiende hasta el inicio de la primavera.
