Granuloma labial posterior a infiltración de sustancia de relleno cosmético. Reporte de un caso y revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN
El uso de sustancias cosméticas infiltradas en tejidos blandos faciales por motivos estéticos ha ido en aumento; las reacciones adversas a éstas incluyen dolor, tumefacción, reacciones inflamatorias granulomatosas, deformidad labial, entre otros efectos indeseables. En 1964, Winer et al usaron el término «siliconoma» para reportar reacciones granulomatosas en tejidos blandos en pacientes que habían recibido infiltraciones de silicón líquido. Presentamos un caso de granuloma labial posterior a la infiltración de sustancia de relleno cosmético. La paciente presentó tumefacción labial bien localizada, no dolorosa y de consistencia blanda. La histología mostró presencia de sustancia oleosa infiltrando el espacio intersticial.
