ABSTRACT

Chronic sclerosing sialadenitis or Küttner tumour (KT) is a relatively uncommon disease of the salivary gland, a benign inflammatory process of the salivary gland that mimics a malignant neoplasm clinically due to its presentation as a hard mass, usually occurring in the submandibular gland. The present report describes a patient with bilateral submandibular masses. Clinical investigations, cytologic, histopathologic and immunopathologic features of both submandibular glands show typically characteristic finding of IgG4 related chronic sclerosing sialadenitis.

Key words: Küttner tumour, submandibular gland, chronic sclerosing sialadenitis, IGg4.
