ABSTRACT

A review of the literature on tooth autotrasplantation in order to update the fundamental aspects of this issue. It highlights the key factors in their success, including: revascularization, postoperative rehabilitation of the ligament to the bone and cement, the importance of the integrity of the periodontal ligament. We analyzed the indications and contraindications for transplantation mainly impacted canine tooth and as the surgical technique, among others. We conclude that the teeth to be transplanted should be formed at least the third cervical root, transplanted teeth have to look at infraocclusion for 4 to 6 weeks, trauma to the follicular sac and tooth periodontal tissues interfere favorable outcome of transplantation.
