ABSTRACT
Parapsoriasis en plaques is a premalignant condition capable of developing into cutaneous T- cell lymphoma. Is characterized by erytematous patches with a cigarette papper- like scale, round, oval on the trunk. The lesions are usually resistant to therapy, responding at times to steroid creams, artificial sunlight or PUVA therapy. A 24 years old male presented with a 4 years history of erythematous skin eruptions. Clinical examination revealed erythematous and slighty scaly confluent plaques in the trunk and extremities. Histologic examination showed epidermotropism and infiltrates of lymphocytes in upper dermis. Treatment was performed with PUVA therapy and the lesions were almost completely cleared. The control biopsy in the epidermis appears almost normal and the only a few lymphocytic infiltrates in the dermis and epidermotropism is absent.
